Mozart Symphony 25

Symphony 25 was composed in 1773 when Mozart was only 17 years old and living in Salzburg. It is often referred to as Mozart's "Little" G minor symphony to distinguish it from Mozart's 40th Symphony which is also in G minor.

MOZART IN 1773

Symphony 25 is the first symphonic work by Mozart to be considered part of the standard orchestral repertoire. It's angsty quality places it in the style of the "Sturm und Drang" (storm and stress) music that was all the rage during the 1770s.
