Mozart Symphony 40

Mozart composed his final three symphonies (#s 39, 40, and 41) in the summer of 1788. All three are part of the standard orchestral repertoire and very different in character.

Symphony 40 is particularly noteworthy in that it is one of only two symphonies by Mozart composed in a minor key, giving the work a dark and stormy character.
