This film is a marvelous recreation by the BBC of the premiere of Beethoven's Symphony #3 (nicknamed "Eroica"). Nobody does period drama like the British, and the cast is top-notch in bringing this historical event to life.
COPYING BEETHOVEN (DVD)
This feature film about Beethoven's final years is worth it just to see Ed Harris play Beethoven so well. As with most films, there are some historical inaccuracies but the film is gorgeously shot, has several fantastic scenes, and is highly enjoyable.
