Mozart Piano Concerto 25

The 12 piano concerti that Mozart composed between 1784-1786 are considered to be the greatest in the genre by any composer. The Piano Concerto 25 is the last of this special group of works that Mozart composed at the height of his Viennese popularity.

VIENNA IN 1786

Premiered in Vienna during the winter of 1786, Mozart's Piano Concerto 25 features a celebratory opening movement in C Major as well as an unusually large number of themes and key areas.

The second movement features wind instruments interacting with the piano and the finale is a Gavotte which was used in Mozart's own opera, Idomeneo.
