Salzburg is a city in modern day Austria most famous for being the home of the Mozart family. Salzburg was also Mozart's residence until the age of 25 when he moved to Vienna.
Many of the historical sights in Salzburg are preserved and well worth visiting. Although, the town has no shortage of touristy locations, there are many genuinely historical points of interest that have authentic ties to Mozart and his family. Below are a few of my personal favorites.
