The Cafe Frauenhuber is one of Vienna's many legendary coffee houses. Dating back to 1746, the Cafe Frauenhuber is the oldest coffee house in Vienna.

On the wall of the entrance there is a sign commemorating the 1788 performance at the cafe of a piano concerto by Mozart as well as a 1797 piano performance by the young Beethoven.

The interior of the cafe is cozy and elegant with several rooms filled with comfortable furniture and lovely decor.

CAFE INTERIOR

A large variety of coffees and pastries are available and served elegantly on a silver tray. I went for the classic chocolate cake (Sachertorte) and Vienna's wonderful version of a cappuccino (Melange)
