PRINCE LOBKOWITZ |
One of Beethoven's most important patrons was Prince Joseph Franz von Lobkowitz.
Prince Lobkowitz's palace is located in the center of Vienna's 1st District. Beethoven was a frequent guest of the Prince and dedicated many of his most famous works to him including the 3rd, 5th, and 6th Symphonies.

Prince Lobkowitz had a private orchestra at the palace. In 1804, this orchestra premiered Beethoven's groundbreaking Third Symphony in the hall of the palace.

Today, the Palais Lobkowitz is the site of Vienna's Theatre Museum and is open to the public.
