JOSEPH II STATUE IN THE JOSEFSPLATZ

The Josefsplatz is a beautiful public square located at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna. The centerpiece of the square is a large statue of Emperor Joseph II dressed in the toga and laurel wreath of a Roman conqueror, reflecting the Habsburg belief that they were decedents of the Emperors of Ancient Rome.
