Magic Flute House

The Magic Flute House was originally located outside of Vienna's city walls that existed in the 1790s. Mozart would visit the house while composing his final opera, Die Zauberflote, in 1791. In the evenings, he would often have parties with the singers.

Die Zauberflote house was moved to Salzburg where it remains today in a private garden at Salzburg University. Finding the house is not easy, and is usually overlooked by tourists. However, ask politely at the entrance of the university and a professor or student will accompany you into the garden to see the house.
