Concerto

CONCERTO - a concerto is a multi-movement work for full orchestra that features a soloist. Most concerti have a three-movement structure:

Movement I - Usually a fast movement in a slightly altered version of Sonata Form called Double Exposition Form.

Movement II - Usually a slow movement in Sonata Form, Variation Form, Ternary Form, or Rondo Form.

Movement III - Usually a light and fast movement in Rondo Form or Variation Form.
